Covid19 Support For Our Handloom Artisans

We Appeal To All Our Friends, Family, Business Partners And Well-Wishers To Join Us To Support Our Artisan Families Spread Across Different Parts Of The West Bengal, India, By Providing A Basket Of Essentials Supplies Like  Dry Ration, Vegetables, Other Household Necessities, Agriculture Inputs And Some Medical Assistance In Cash Or Kind.

Dear Friends & Family,

Greetings from Anuprerna!
We hope that you and your family as well as your employees are safe and healthy amidst the COVID-19 outbreak across the globe.

Having spent over three decades, establishing relationships with invaluable artisans who had spent their lives in developing the rich Indian textiles, we feel it’s our utmost duty to give back to them in this time of need. It’s about time to show our compassion and gratitude for these artisans who continue to do the onerous work of supporting the backbone of our industry , unperturbed by uncertainty and with little appreciation in good times.

We plan to conduct the distribution in form of cash or kind through the month of May. Therefore, every small contribution will bring a big difference in the lives of the weaver's community. I hope, all of us will come forward and show our togetherness in support of our artisan community who are the backbone of the crafts that we all admire. At the end of the campaign, we will share with you detailed information of our relief campaign.

Thank you, friends, for your support! If you need more details, or want to support us in any other way, please email us, speak to us. We will be glad to hear from you.

UPDATE ON THE RELIEF CAMPAIGN

We want to thank each one of you who contributed and supported us even otherwise.

To ease the financial burden, we feel the best way to help our artisans is by direct transfer of a stipulated amount into their accounts for them to utilise as per their current economic requirements. This also allows us to work remotely without disrupting social distancing guidelines on our end, as well for the beneficiaries. In some cases, the weavers do not have bank accounts or bank facility nearby, their money will be given to the respective master weavers/community leader who will distribute cash while maintaining all the government regulations of social distancing.
